The foundation team, led by the Director, executes its mission through strategic, proactive grant-making, research and programmes.
The Generation Foundation’s Board of Trustees is responsible for governance and strategic direction in partnership with the foundation team.

Grace Eddy
Grace Eddy
Grace Eddy is the Director of the Generation Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Generation Investment Management. She also serves as the Chair of the Governance Committee on the board of Calvert Impact, the global non-profit investment firm.
Grace joined the Foundation in 2016 after her time at J. P. Morgan. Prior to that, she worked for a number of community development and research organisations where she examined the intersection of environmental impact and social outcomes.
Grace received a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from Trinity College, Dublin, and an MSc in Sustainable Development from Edinburgh University.
Alison Paton
Alison Paton
Alison Paton is a Director at the Generation Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Generation Investment Management, having joined in 2018. Alison joined from the global investment manager, abrdn, where she worked in government relations and investment communications with a focus on sustainability and global fixed income markets.
Alison has a Law Degree from the University of Dundee.
Rob Nash
Rob Nash
Rob Nash is a Director at the Generation Foundation, having joined in 2024. Prior to that Rob worked as an independent consultant and led the implementation of the Legal framework for Impact project at the Principles for Responsible Investment. He brings a diverse background of experience working with investment companies, think tanks, environmental and international development organisations, and government on issues including sustainable investment, financial systems change, economic policy, human rights, climate and energy policy, and natural resource governance.
He holds an LLB in Law from University College London and an MA in Global Political Economy from Sussex University.
Maria Elena Anker
Maria Elena Anker
Maria Elena Anker joined the Generation Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Generation Investment Management, in 2021 as an Associate. Previously, Maria Elena was a consultant with Developing World Markets, an impact investment firm. She also worked at two microfinance institutions, Banco Solidario in Ecuador and Pro Mujer in New York, and as an emerging markets fixed income research analyst at Salomon Smith Barney.
Maria Elena received a BA in English and Economics from Boston College, an MS in Foreign Service and an MA in Economics from Georgetown University.
Paulina Oosterman
Paulina Oosterman
Paulina Oosterman joined the Generation Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Generation Investment Management, in 2022 as an Associate. Previously, Paulina worked for an international executive search company as an Executive Assistant. She also worked at Wellington Management as a Fund Reporting Analyst and Client Service Analyst, focusing on institutional clients in the Nordic and Benelux countries.
Paulina received her diploma from the MEAO college (Upper Secondary Vocational Education in Business and Administration) in the Netherlands.
Chase Jaz
Chase Jaz
Chase Jaz joined the Generation Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Generation Investment Management, in 2024. Previously, he was a Senior Advisor at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and managed a portfolio of environment and climate projects. Prior to that, Chase focused on ocean conservation and sustainable fisheries management at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation. He brings a diverse background of experience in strategic grantmaking, fundraising, and non-profit operations from his work with several global environment and conservation organizations.
Chase has a bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, and communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology. He also holds a certificate in conservation and environmental sustainability from Columbia University and a master’s degree in conservation science from Imperial College London.
Sophie Millot
Sophie Millot
Sophie Millot joined the Generation Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Generation Investment Management, in 2024. She joins from the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) where she managed a portfolio of over $100 million in climate grants. Sophie started her career as a parliamentary Advocacy Officer for Global Health Advocates France, where she worked to increase development finance budgets and access to health globally.
Sophie holds a MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a MA in International Organisations from Sciences Po Grenoble.
Chun Man Chow
Chun Man Chow
Chun Man is an Associate at the Generation Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Generation Investment Management. He joined the Foundation in 2024 from McKinsey & Company, where he focused on sustainability, philanthropy, and data analytics. Prior to that, he worked across engineering, research, and policy at multiple organizations, including the J-PAL, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Emirates Global Aluminium, and Shell.
Originally from Hong Kong, Chun Man received a BS from the University of California, Berkeley, an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering and an MASc in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

David Blood
David Blood
David Blood is a Founding Partner and the Senior Partner of Generation Investment Management. Previously, David spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs including serving as CEO of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. David received a BA from Hamilton College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
David is chair of Just Climate, Social Finance UK and World Resources Institute, and on the board of On the Edge Conservation.
Paul Coates
Paul Coates
Paul Coates joined Generation Investment Management in 2008 and is a member of the Trading Team. Previously, Paul worked in the European equities team at Schroder Investment Management.
Paul received a BA in Business Economics from the University of Hertfordshire.
Ghessycka Lucien Bennett
Ghessycka Lucien Bennett
Ghessycka Lucien Bennett joined Generation Investment Management at its founding in 2004 and is a member of the Legal and Compliance Team. Ghessycka serves as Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the US business. Previously, Ghessycka worked in a variety of positions at Generation across the Client, Compliance and Control teams.
Ghessycka received a BA in International Affairs and French Literature and Language from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the same university. Ghessycka also studied at the Université de Haute Bretagne and is fluent in French and Haitian Creole.
Rema Rajeswaran
Rema Rajeswaran
Rema Rajeswaran joined Generation Investment Management in 2006 and is a member of the Global Equity strategy, covering the Global Healthcare sector. Previously, Rema was an analyst in the healthcare practice at Datamonitor.
Rema received a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a master’s in Economics from Oxford University. Rema speaks fluent Malay.
Anthony Woolf
Anthony Woolf
Anthony Woolf joined Generation Investment Management in 2016 and is a member of the Growth Equity strategy. Previously, Anthony was a vice president at Warburg Pincus where he worked on private equity investments across Europe and an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley. Anthony has been involved with Generation’s investments in Andela, Elation Health, Pivot Bio, Proterra and SOPHiA Genetics.
Anthony received an MChem in Chemistry from Oxford University.
Alina Manolache
Alina Manolache
Alina joined as Director in our People team in September 2018. Prior to joining us, Alina worked as an HRBP & ER Manager at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, part of the Ameriprise Financial Group. Alina has an MA in Human Resources Management from Middlesex University (2010) and a BA from the University of Bucharest (2008). Alina's first language is Romanian, but in addition to English, she also speaks French and Spanish.
