Overview
Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a research and policy non-profit that discovers and promotes effective solutions to global poverty problems using strong evidence from randomised, controlled trials.
Often, well-meaning organisations do not evaluate the impact of their work, nor do they consider alternative ways of achieving their desired impact. IPA is an innovative development organisation that ensures interventions are evaluated and adjusted to ensure the greatest impact. IPA evaluates poverty alleviation strategies through controlled trials and in a systematic, evidence-based way. It works with policymakers and stakeholders to ensure that their efforts to reduce poverty have the expected results, and that funds and time are spent on projects with verified results.
We support IPA to expand its work in evaluating projects aimed at reducing gender inequality. It is also supporting their efforts to disseminate their rigorous testing processes and results so other organisations can replicate their robust methods of ensuring that development projects have the results they seek in a time and cost-efficient way.
